Welcome to Cobleskill-Richmondville!

Just 40 miles west of the state’s capital, Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District was created in 1993 when two neighboring districts in the heart of Schoharie County were consolidated. Our district serves families in Cobleskill, Richmondville, and 13 other rural townships spanning more than 181 square miles. Approximately 1,550 students, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, attend one of our four schools.

  • A: We offer a wide range of mental health support, including Cartwheel — a trusted mental health partner with CRCS, delivering rapid access to mental health services via telehealth. Learn more about Cartwheel and many other mental health resources on Mental Health page.

  • A: We welcome and encourage parent and community involvement! • A: Cobleskill-Richmondville uses a few key tools to help families stay connected and informed:

SchoolTool – This is the primary hub for academic information. Families can log in to view their student’s grades, schedule, attendance, and other classroom-related updates.

ParentSquare – This is our main communication platform for school and district messages. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each family using the contact information we have on file. You can receive messages via email, text, or app notifications and even customize your preferences. To get started, please visit our ParentSquare Information page for more information and to download the app. ParentSquare keeps families informed about:
    — Announcements from teachers and principals
    — Event and schedule updates
    — Urgent notifications, including snow days, delays, and early dismissals
    — Direct messaging with school staff

Together, these tools offer a complete picture of your student’s school experience — academically, socially, and day-to-day. We encourage every family to stay connected through both platforms!

  • A: There are several easy ways to stay informed about school news and events.
Starting right here on our district home page, you’ll find two regularly updated sections: District Updates (important announcements, reminders, and notices) and Stories and Highlights (features, achievements, and news from across our schools).

Families can also stay connected through ParentSquare, our primary communication tool for messages from schools, teachers, and district leaders.

Finally, our district Facebook page is a great place to follow along—especially for photos, celebrations, and day-to-day snapshots of life at C-RCS.

  • A: We are excited to welcome new families to our district! The enrollment process is simple and can be completed online or in person.
