On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the District held a public vote on a proposed $12.5 million capital improvement project to address high priority health, safety, and infrastructure needs at each of our four schools. We are pleased to announce that the project has been approved by a vote of 242 to 63.

The approved District-Wide Capital Project will focus on essential infrastructure improvements for our schools, including:

- Repairing sidewalks and exterior stairs.
- Replacing a limited number of windows and repairing damaged exterior facade.
- Updating elementary playground equipment.
- Completing interior renovations at Radez Elementary that were removed from the 2022 Capital Project due to cost constraints.
- Replacing exterior door sets in designated locations.
- Replacing and/or upgrading HVAC systems and equipment.

The upgrades will strengthen our facilities and support safe, secure and productive learning environments. Approval of this project does not raise the local tax levy. The scope of the identified work is eligible for state aid and the local share will be offset by debt from prior projects that are scheduled to retire.
