You Are Not Alone: How Parents & Caregivers Can Support Kids’ Mental Health

December 9, 2025
Cartwheel Mental Health Team
Dear Staff and Families,

Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District has a Cartwheel Care team designed to assist with student well-being and mental health. Each month we plan to send a link to an educational webinar geared toward families. This month we are sharing: You Are Not Alone: How Parents & Caregivers Can Support Kids’ Mental Health.

In this webinar, they cover:

  • The importance of mental health and how it affects youth
  • Signs to look out for
  • Practices to help regulate emotions
  • Tips on how to monitor social media use
And click on the video to begin watching.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s well-being or mental health, reach out to your child’s school counselor.

Parent/Guardian Self-Referral Option

In addition to the Cobleskill-Richmondville Cartwheel team, parents can submit a referral for their child to be considered for participation in virtual mental health counseling.

If you're a parent or guardian, you can click the button below to request a referral for your child to see a licensed therapist. This opportunity is available regardless of whether your child has spoken with their school counselor.

Once your request has been approved, your student may begin scheduling telehealth sessions.

Wishing all of our families a safe, restful, and happy holiday season!
