C-R Juniors Recognized with Prestigious Scholarships and Awards

Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District is proud to recognize a group of exceptional juniors who were honored with scholarships and awards from colleges and universities across New York State.
Students Gabriella Babcock, Jared Becker, Avrie Dimick, Thomas Ellis, Larissa Hackney, Logan Hartmann, Molly Hay, Sienna Holm, Emma Kauffmann, Brady Lampron, Kayden Righi, Rebecca Redmond, Haley Slater, Connor Testa, Laney Trappenburg, Landon Yatrakis, and Alyvia Zipperle have been recognized for their academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to their school and community.
Several students earned significant scholarship awards:
Connor Testa and Avrie Dimick received the Alfred State College Pioneer Leaders Award. Connor’s award provides a $1,500 per year scholarship for two years of an associate degree, while Avrie will receive $4,000 per year for four years toward a bachelor’s degree.
Brady Lampron and Thomas Ellis were recognized by Clarkson University for their outstanding leadership qualities and academic promise. Brady received the Clarkson University Achievement Award valued at $80,000 over four years. Thomas earned the Clarkson University Leadership Award, the institution’s highest honor, valued at $100,000 over four years.
Emma Kauffmann received the Elmira College Key Award, a prestigious honor granting $22,000 per year. This marks the first time a C-R student has received this historic award, one of the oldest recognition programs for high school juniors in the country.
Kayden Righi was awarded the George H. Ball Community Achievement Award from Keuka College, which provides at least $88,000 in merit scholarships over four years.
Landon Yatrakis earned the LeMoyne College Heights Award, recognizing his success in the classroom, school, and community. This award is valued at $17,000 per year.
Laney Trappenburg received the Rensselaer Medal from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), a highly competitive honor awarded to students who excel in mathematics and science. The scholarship is valued at $40,000 per year for four years.
Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) recognized Larissa Hackney, Logan Hartmann, and Alyvia Zipperle with scholarships valued at $24,000 per year. Larissa was honored in science and math, Logan in business and leadership, and Alyvia in humanities and social sciences.
Rebecca Redmond and Sienna Holm received recognition from the University of Rochester, each earning awards valued at $5,000 per year. Rebecca received the Susan B. Anthony Social Issues Award, while Sienna earned the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award.
Gabriella Babcock, Jared Becker, Molly Hay, and Haley Slater were awarded the Russell Sage College Student Sage Award. This scholarship provides a minimum of $21,000 per year and recognizes students who embody the college’s motto: “Be. Know. Do.”
All scholarship awards are contingent upon the students enrolling at the institution that has recognized them.
