K-5 After School Care Information
Capital Kids Care - After School Care
Capital Kids Care provides after school programming for students in grades K-5 during the 2025-2026 school year.
The program is hosted at Ryder Elementary and is available to all K-5 students. Students from Radez Elementary will be transported by the District to Ryder as needed. The program runs from school dismissal until 5:30 p.m. on school days, and may include care on half days, breaks, and holidays as details are finalized.
Capital Kids Care is a trusted, well-established organization currently serving districts such as Duanesburg, Guilderland, and Niskayuna. Their programs include a daily routine of homework help, games, outdoor play, crafts, and community-building activities in a structured environment.

Capital Kids Care Financial assistance is available through DSS and CCA.

To enroll, visit the Capital Kids Care website, create a parent account, and sign up under the “School Year Care” tab. Be sure to select October 1 as the start date (this is for auto-pay purposes only; care begins in September). Enrollment is complete once you receive a confirmation email.
