Happy New Year! We hope you had a restful and happy holiday season!

Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District has a Cartwheel Care team designed to assist with student well-being and mental health. Each month we plan to send a link to an educational webinar geared toward families. This month we are sharing: Connection, Co-Regulation, and Coping Skills: Helping Kids and Teens Navigate Big Feelings.

In this webinar, they cover:

  • Helpful strategies you can teach your kids (and yourself) for noticing, welcoming, and neutralizing big emotions before they take over the household.
  • How to create a calm and safe atmosphere and environment.
  • Free downloadable visuals for the Rainbow Grounding Technique and the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s well-being or mental health, reach out to your child’s school counselor.

Parent/Guardian Self-Referral Option

In addition to the Cobleskill-Richmondville Cartwheel team, parents can submit a referral for their child to be considered for participation in virtual mental health counseling.

If you're a parent or guardian, you can click the button below to request a referral for your child to see a licensed therapist. This opportunity is available regardless of whether your child has spoken with their school counselor.

Once your request has been approved, your student may begin scheduling telehealth sessions.
