The Cobleskill-Richmondville Education Foundation’s 16th Annual Golf Tournament brought friends, family, golfers, sponsors, and volunteers together for a beautiful sunny day on the course and a shared commitment to supporting C-RCS students. This year’s event welcomed 20 teams and 77 golfers for a day filled with fun, friendly competition, and community spirit.

As part of the day’s celebration, C-REF presented its Silver Bulldog Award to Margaret “Maggie” Jackman Pryor for her dedicated support of C-RCS students. Maggie has generously given her time, leadership, and talent to strengthen school programs, athletics, and connections between the school and the community.

C-REF member and C-RCS teacher Jenn Rightmyer introduced Pryor as this year’s award recipient.

“C-REF’s mission is to enhance educational opportunities for students throughout the district and Maggie and her efforts for many, many years and still to this day, supports that mission, so it is with great pleasure that we as a committee felt that Maggie was very deserving of the Silver Bulldog Award.”

Maggie’s commitment to C-RCS and the local community has taken many forms over the years. She has served as an officer of the C-RCS All Sports Booster Club and as a member of the C-RCS Board of Education. She also works with the school through SCASSA, a community action program that helps educate children about making positive choices regarding drugs and alcohol.

As a local business owner and a dedicated small business mentor for 13 years, Maggie has also generously shared her time, knowledge, and experience with students participating in FBLA and the TREP$ program, helping young people explore entrepreneurship and develop their own ideas. As Director of the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, she often collaborates with our students on learning projects, such as persuasive essays and art projects, and sometimes visits classrooms with puppies for students to play with! C-RCS is incredibly grateful to Maggie for her years of dedication, generosity, and support, and for the countless ways she has strengthened our schools, supported our students, and helped build meaningful connections throughout our community.
