7th Graders Explore History and Adventure Through June Field Trips

June was filled with unforgettable experiences for our 7th grade students, as they wrapped up the school year with two exciting and educational field trips.
On June 15, students traveled to Secret Caverns and the Cave House Museum, where they explored the natural limestone cave system. The experience offered a unique, hands-on look at underground formations while also connecting students to local history.
Just a few days later, on June 19, students set out on an even bigger adventure with a trip to Boston. The day was packed with learning as they walked the historic Freedom Trail, visited the Museum of Science, and explored Quincy Market and Boston Common.
The Boston trip was made possible thanks to the entire 7th grade team and the support of the American Battlefield Trust, which awarded C-R a grant following a competitive national application process. 7th graders also presented directly to the Board of Education, sharing details about the trip and answering questions to help secure approval.
Their efforts paid off, and the experience became a memorable highlight of the year. These trips provided students with meaningful opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.’
