Radez Podcast Club
What is Podcast Club?
The Radez Podcast Club gives 5th grade students an opportunity to explore creative storytelling and news through sound. The club meets every other week after school where students learn the fundamentals of podcasting while experimenting with different ways to tell a story using only audio.
Students gain hands-on experience with creating, recording, and editing podcasts, while developing their creativity, communication, and storytelling skills.
Thanks to grants from CREF and generous donations from our community, students have access to a podcast studio at Radez Elementary equipped with several high-end microphones, audio interfaces, and the digital audio workstation (DAW) Audacity, which is widely used by audio professionals.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Schel and Ms. Sam, students have a blast learning new skills while building their confidence and creativity. They get to bring their ideas to life and experience the excitement of creating something of their own.

The Locker Incident
Students worked together as a team to do live foley, meaning what you hear was one live take with no cuts. Students were each assigned to sound effects and dialogue and played their parts perfectly.
