2023-24 School Budget | Annual Vote, Tuesday May 16

During its April 17 meeting, the Board of Education adopted a $45,352,710 budget for the 2023-24 school year that will be put to a vote from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16 at C-R High School.

The proposed budget calls for a 1.91% tax levy increase. Since the increase falls within the New York State tax cap for C-RCS, approval of the budget requires a simple majority of 50% plus one vote.

Voters will also elect three candidates to three-year terms on the Board of Education and approve the establishment of a Capital Bus Reserve Fund.

A separate appropriation for the Community Library and four library board member positions will also be on the ballot. C-RCSD hosts the vote for the libraries, but the funding does not impact school property taxes.
