To kick off Music In Our Schools Month and PARP (Pick A Reading Partner), blues artist Tas Cru visited Ryder and Radez to perform and teach students about blues music through his interactive performance.
Cru connects literacy to music through his originals songs, a variety of Eric Carle books (The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Very Busy Spider and more) rewritten as blues songs.
Cru even invited one teacher and one student to perform with him at each performance! The selected teachers and students received a quick harmonica lesson before performing a song with Cru!
