Dear C-R staff members, students and families,

Happy Monday everyone!

I wanted to take a few minutes to update all of you on our Superintendent of Schools search.

This past Friday, April 29, was the deadline for application submissions for our next Superintendent of Schools. I can tell you we had a robust response, and we are confident that our next Superintendent is contained within these applications.

You may ask, what are the next steps?

The entire C-RCS board of education is meeting with our BOCES search team during the  week of May 2 to review the applications. It is our goal to select applicants to interview.

∙ Our first round of interviews will be scheduled during the week of May 9.

Our second round of interviews will take place during the week of May 23.

If all goes to plan, the board will meet and make our final selection during the week of  June 6. This gives the board ample time to negotiate a contract prior to the appointment goal of July 1 and anticipated start date on or before September 1.

These are exciting AND challenging times for all of us here at Cobleskill-Richmondville. This board recognizes that we have a daunting task in selecting the next Superintendent. But we are  focused and committed to working together to select the very best individual to lead the district.

I thank you for your time and GO BULLDOGS!

Sincerely,

Bruce Tryon

President, Cobleskill-Richmondville Board of Education
