Olivia VanEvera Wins 1st Place in the FFA Dairy Handler's Competition.
We’re thrilled to share the fantastic news that last night (Thursday, October 24, 2024) CRCS’s own Olivia VanEvera was named the National Champion – 1st place in the Nation – in the FFA Dairy Handler's competition during the convention in Indianapolis!
Olivia is making history as the first National Champion from Cobleskill-Richmondville, and this is a rare achievement for New York State. She will be recognized on stage during the Parade of Champions in front of over 72,000 members.
Competing as a sophomore against graduates, Olivia won the New York State competition in August, securing her spot at the National Convention.
“The rich history of FFA at Cobleskill-Richmondville has never experienced anything like what Olivia VanEvera accomplished in being named National Champion – winning first place in our nation – in the FFA Dairy Handler's competition. This is an unprecedented honor. Our school and community are so proud of Olivia’s remarkable achievement,” said Bruce Tryon, President, Cobleskill-Richmondville Board of Education.
Olivia also serves as Reporter of the Cobleskill- Richmondville Agriculture Education and FFA Chapter. Olivia is pictured here presenting her cows over the summer.
We are incredibly proud of Olivia’s amazing national achievement and recognition. Please join us in congratulating her on this phenomenal success!
