More than 70 golfers drove, chipped and putt their way around Cobleskill Golf and Country Club on Saturday, Sept. 10, in support of C-R Students.

The 12th annual Cobleskill-Richmondville Education Foundation golf tournament raised more than $10,000 that will help provide learning opportunities for C-R students.

"It was a glorious day!” said Gayle Westervelt, president of the C-REF Board of Trustees. “The sun was shining on the hard work and collaboration of Cobleskill Golf and Country Club staff and the Cobleskill-Richmondville Education Golf Committee, plus the flexibility and generosity of our golfers. It  all culminated in a very enjoyable event. The winners? The students of the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School!"

Established in 2007, C-REF funds innovative projects that are supplemental to the school budget. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded more than 700 grants, impacting more than 4,000 students.

The golf tournament is C-REF’s largest fundraiser. The generosity and dedication of C-REF’s trustees and community members are what drive its initiatives.
