Healthy Kids Programs - Before & After School Care

Boy running and smiling

For the past three years, we have been able to provide “Before Care” and run an After School Program (ASP) at Radez and Ryder using ARP-ESSER federal stimulus funds. Unfortunately, those funds are expiring and will no longer be available to fund these programs in 2024-2025 and beyond.

We recognize the importance of before and after school care, so the District has established an agreement with Healthy Kids Programs, to offer Before Care and an After School Program at Ryder and Radez, beginning in September 2024. We are excited to partner with Healthy Kids Programs to continue to make this important service available.

Healthy Kids Programs is a private organization that works under the regulation and oversight of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and currently partners with school districts across New York State to run before and after school programs on school grounds, and employs school staff members whenever possible.

The programs will be offered based on a “family-pay” model, however Healthy Kids has access to subsidies that will significantly lower the cost and make it affordable for our families.

Below, you will find fliers with information about Healthy Kids Programs at each elementary school. As the 2024-25 school year approaches, we will work with Healthy Kids Programs to share additional information about programs and enrollment on this page.
