About Us

Welcome to the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District

Just 40 miles west of the state’s capital, Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District was created in 1993 when two neighboring school districts in the heart of Schoharie County were consolidated.  Our district serves families in Cobleskill, Richmondville, and 13 other rural townships spanning more than 181 square miles in Schoharie, Otsego, and Montgomery counties.

As Schoharie County's largest public school district, we serve approximately 1,750 students in grades PK-12 in four schools: George D. Ryder Elementary (PK-2), Joseph B. Radez Elementary (3-5), William H. Golding Middle School (6-8) and Cobleskill-Richmondville High School (9-12).

We offer diverse academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular opportunities to our students, including college-credit and Advanced Placement courses, career and technical education, as well as outstanding programs in technology and engineering, the fine and performing arts, and special education.

We also offer our students opportunities to participate in more than 20 interscholastic athletic programs as well as myriad clubs and activities.

We're so proud of our accomplished students and alumni as well as the dedicated, skilled team of teachers, administrators, and support staff who work tirelessly to educate, inspire, and empower our students to become creative, engaged, and productive citizens.
